N800: Says connected in non-compatible mode

I tried to install the internet tablet software wizard so that it could load the latest update, but it does not recognize my N800 which is connected to my laptop. The error message I get is that the tablet is "connected in non-compatible mode. Change it from phone UI."

What does this mean?

Are you sure you're not using PC Suite by mistake? I've never seen that error with the tablet update wizard.

It is indeed a PC Suite error that pops up, but I didn't launch it. I've rebooted as well to make sure PC Suite wasn't running in the background.

Anyway, I've called tel support. Only been waiting for 56 minutes+ now!
