Problems with sending SMS after last update

Hello,
I'm really seeking your help, as I can't send any sms after upgrading my N900 to the last update yesterday.
I tried to restore system settings, and restoring a backup to a date before updating, but nothing happend.

Also another problems, is that when I go to the application manager, it can't fine Maemo.org catalogue.

This's really freaking me out, as I use txts all the day, and a problem like this would drive me nuts..

I'm just really hoping I'd find the solution here.

why cant you send sms? whats the problem there?

after i flashed my device yesterday, my normal menu was rotated.
"more" was up left side.

i had reflashed my device

I don't know, altho I can recieve msgs/calls and send calls.. I just cant SEND any sms !!

Now I tried other simcard on my N900 and tried to send msgs, and it worked, but my simcard doesn't work!
How come this happend? I use my sim card since long time, and it was working before the update on my N900.
I also used my simcard on another phone, sent sms, and it worked, it's just not working with my N900.

Any advices?

Call your provider and request for a new sim card... it is free.

time ago i heard about a problem with the n900 and some old sim cards which hare using other voltage... maybe u can get a new card from your provider, that should solve the problem and maybe lets your phone use less power ;)

Why not talk to your operator, I'm sure they'll have a better understanding of your account status, sms center number, and what not..
Might want to get a new sim card anyway if this one's old..

I thought that too, but the thing is that I was using the same simcard with the same mobile, and it was working ok. but everything changed after the last update.

I'll talk to my service provider too.. maybe a new simcard will help solving this issue, I really hope this will work, as N900 without texting is useless ..

Problem solved.
I got a new simcard, and everything is working now.
My N900 is back to life =D
