Is there anyone having problem with this? It seems I can not let my 770 being detected as an external mass storage by my windows xp laptop. Unfortunately I do not have an option at this moment to try it on another PC.

Anyway, as soon as I connect the 770 to the PC, I always get a message on 770 screen saying that there are programs running and that I need to stop them otherwise the USB connection will not be possible.

I am quite sure I have nothing running, I already tried closing all the applets on the desktop (Canola - wich is not running a database refresh - , OMWeather, and those are the added ones. Clock, Contact selection and webradio - and these are the Nokia ones), no luck.

I tried disabling the swap file, which anyway the tablet is supposed to auto disable once the rs-mmc slot is opened, but I find that once the tablet returns to life (it needs loooots of time to be ready for this after unchecking "Enable virtual memory"), I get the same message. Try to access again the Control Panel and voilą, virtual memory is still there, ouch!

I always need to get the MMC and read it through and external card reader, but that needs to turn off the 770 and reboot, which is suppoed to be *very* dangerous (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4009 for more details).

Oh, and I even thought it was a problem of having installed the Maemo 2.0 backups so I tried a reflash last Friday plus installing all the actual applications from scratch (which besides are not so many, just Bloglines, Canola, Flickr Browser, Leafpad, Maemo Mapper, Minimo, MPlayer, ScummVM, Sylphhed, Xournal, plus the memory/cpu and the bluetooth plugin). No results, tough.

I have the same problem. I thought it was linked to privoxy but hadn't had time to investigate further ...

I was planning to install it but I didn't yet, so no problem about that (by the way, is there any configuration to be done in order to have a good-working installation, or any guide?)

Could someone whose mass storage function is running correctly please post the results of a "ps -e" command launched on an X terminal? I'd like to compare the results with mine...

Thanks, Omar

Hi,
All of a sudden, my 770 cannot connect via USB to my PC. Same exact problem you described about shutting down all apps, etc.

Did you ever get yours fixed? How?
thanks,
Neil
