Is there a quick way to change the unlock screen?

Hi :)

I would like to know if there is any quick and dirty way to change the unlock screen on the N900, espeacially the backgroundimage. To be clear, i'm talking about this:

I like the theme how it is, but i would like to change the background image of the unlock screen without installing a Theme Maker or such software. Is it possible to rewrite this background image anywhere on my phone? This would be great :)

mhm... i haven't read about this one yet... but i know that Lacedaemon (http://talk.maemo.org/member.php?u=26116) - the creator of the Matrix Theme - has managed to change the complete unlock screen.

maybe you could ask him ^^

many things can be found in /etc/ or /usr/share/ .
so if you have some freetime to kill... just look around... maybe you find something useful ;)

/usr/share/themes/ (alpha for the blue theme and beta for the orange theme) /backgrounds/lockslider.png

The lockscreen images are found in /usr/share/themes/themename/images/

It's six of them:

LockSliderBottom.png
LockSliderLeft.png
LockSliderRight.png
LockSliderThumb.png
LockSliderThumbPortrait.png
LockSliderTop.png

about the background image, it's in the backgrounds folder, as Diamorph said.
