Just saw season opener...not sure what to believe. I guess its feasible, given they could use anyone for the off-track filming. I guess I was hoping it was Stuch or B. Schneider.

Nope, he just dressed in the Stig's outfit to drive his FXX. I think the Stig's taller.

Yeah, I think it was a joke, based on how it ended. Historically, Stig seemed a little "thicker". I remember a few ep. some ex F1 drivers were speculating, and I think the consensus was that based on the lines taken on the test track, Stig wasn't F1...which doesnt nec. rule out MS given the kart/sportscar exp.

The Stig is (apparently) a guy call Ben Collins (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/article5548705.ece).
The Stig is not just one person - it's many... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig

Hehe, I work with a guy called Ben Collins - we had a field day when that news broke. I keep meaning to get him an 'I am not the Stig' t-shirt.
Seriously though - for those who haven't worked it out - The Stig is just a character. It isn't played by any one specific person, it let's them use whoever is available or best for the situation.
The Schumacher 'reveal' was good though (and it wouldn't surprise me if he has been The Stig a few times).
Some say he has more fanbois than Apple...

Just like the DTM coverage, among other things, "the states" gets "Euro" broadcasts several months after original airings. I sensed something was off during the interview, despite me not being a regular viewer. My girl just called me to the tele to let me know they were "revealing".
Getting BBC news real time but broadcast a season late, tends to throw one off a bit.

At least we're more or less up to date on Dr. Who. :D

If "The End of Time" is his final episode, we've seen it.
I'll give Matt Smith a chance but I wish they'd hired Richard Hammond from Top Gear instead.

Torrents have mostly made the US-Europe time gap null, for me at least it has.

Meh...I've reached a point in my live where I appreciate not having to implement a "workaround" or "engineering a solution" for every facet of my life. After years of stressing over whether the US will even get TV coverage for "Le Tour", F1, or if NASCAR will preempt 22 of the 24 hours of Le Mans, coupled with hearing, "unfortunately, this amazing car won't be making its way stateside", I've resinged myself to taking what I can get, via the easiest means available.

Agreed. I want to punch the buttons on my remote and have shows appear. If they're a year old, I can live with it.

We're supposedly getting both the Fiat 500 Abarth and the Alfa Brera :D (and Chrysler better not rebadge the Alfa  ).
To heck with cell phones, Italian cars are drool worthy gadgets.

Well, you are up to date then, and not far behind us at all (it was broadcast here on New Year's day.
