QAudioInput for recording to wav or mp3 ?

Yes it can ... i'm trying to figure out QAudioInput (QtMultimedia) - but phonon should do it too or gstreamer maybe?
I have a feeling there is a problem with QAudioInput though.... seems to not detect or work alongside pulseaudio at the moment :(
