N900 - Screen - blank display

Screen is blank. I hear the nokia tune and then nothing. No display. The phone won't ring when I call it. There is power to the phone because the keyboard is lit. I flashed the phone and still no luck. My pc picks up the phone and I can scan the nokia's directory, so I know the phone has power.

I don't get it. I briefly had a nokia bootup screen, but it was really dark. Any ideas???

If I had to guess I would say the screen may be fubar. The fact you can get into the machine suggests its booted and running , so probably not the battery.

So I guess I will send it back to Nokia. I am in Canada, so I put my USA friend as the return address.

That sounds similar to the n900's behavior when the battery is *very* low. You may just want to try charging it for half an hour from the wall charger and then try booting it.
