Hey all.

I went to Best Buy and found out that my powerbox was junk.

They wanted $170.00 to fix it but I'm trying to do this myself.

So simple question here.

My old one had a fan that blew out the back of the computer, the one I bought has a side one.

So which way should it face when screwing it in?

There's only two choices here.

Have the fan point to the top of the computer which has no vents (basically the fan would be flushed up against sheet metal) or have it point the opposite way towards the motherboard.

I'll go with the first person who posts on this. :)

towards the motherboard, assuming the bolts and holes line up securing the PSU to the case.

Thanks gaaza!

For some reason though, I can't click on the Thanks button since it's not showing.

But anyway, I appreciate the post. :)

Okay. It's not like I've ever had a problem not thanking you before. :)

And yeah, $170 plus tax which took me all of four minutes to install myself. Though to be honest, the reason why I replaced it so quickly is because I didn't tie any of those wire thingies down.

That might come back to haunt me.
