Three Network UK Sim Rejected Error

Hi

I have bought a sim free N900. Every other network sim works. Does the Three Network Sim work after updating the firmware?

SHould do. This is a known issue with the original firmware.

In the change log it says it fixed that problem but i havent tested it. I have tmobile

With the new firmware, both my old 3 sim and my new one have been fine.

You can't use the flasher as Nokia still haven't uploaded the new UK firmware to the download site.

Ok I will update it. I know I can update the phone.over wifi.

See http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware - it's a tool to do a cold reflash of the firmware. This can be required if the N900 gets into a non-bootable state.

Yes the issue has been resolved.
I get full 3G pretty much everywhere I got :)

It'll be easiler to use the app manager on the N900 itself to download & install the update.

I had the same issue before updating fw (am on 3UK). Run both firmware updates, and then the sim should work fine. (mine does)

I have updated the Phone and now 3 sim works.
