View Full Version : Issues when connecting N900 to a Windows 7 x64 PC via USB

Does anyone else experience problems when connecting their N900 to a PC running Windows 7 x64?

It takes me many times to actually get it connected and showing up in Computer, and switching back and forth between Mass Storage Mode and PC Suite mode.

PC Suite is fine, just mass storage mode isn't, made a bug report:

I have no issues connecting the N900 to Win7 x64. Works perfectly, except flash-mode of course.

I have no issues too. Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit here.

I takes me a try or two to get Win 7 64bit (ultimate) to recognize both the phone and the sd card as well.

Installing the maps was even more fun.

Interesting, i have no problems at all with win 7 64, but im on pro, and dont have an SD card.

same here no issues with win7 64bit, the only thing i found odd there is a folder called camera which stores pics taken with phone which does not show up in pc suite mode

Hmm, in storage mode it shows as the folder

DCIM ronaldo, any joys with that?

yes i can see it in storage mode mate, i also been using WSCP over wifi to connect to phone, so i view files that way. But i have to say transfering 1.6gb video file via storage mode is really fast 17.5MBps

i have no problems connecting for sync or transfewring files in pc suite mode.

i have not been able to get the maps to load. cannot get the software to see the phone. dunno how to get it to.

nor can i see my memory card.

how do you do those 2 things?

So i'm not completely alone, ceroberts, do you mean you can't see the phone in mass storage mode?

Ok, since I found this thread I'll post here.

I also have Win7 x64 and cannot copy any files onto my N900 via USB. It seems to recognize the phone and the directory structure, but when I try to copy a file, explorer hangs.

This is in PC Suite mode. Just as a note, I also seem to be getting an error with loading the driver occasionally, and I have no clue how to fix it.
