Hello guys,

I am using my N900 as a business phone.
Does someone knows - during a call is it possible to use and enter Contacts menu to find another contact? I mean in case to tell to existing caller the phone number of another Contact?

I tried to search for this feature in maemo.org, but did not found such thread?

Thank you i advance.

Regards.

As the N900 is a true multitasker, sure this is possoble. Just press the upper left icon to bring the active tasks up. if contacts are not open already, click in the area without a window to bring up your desktop an select contacts or click on the icon up left in the taskview to bring up application overview. you can do whatever you want if you leave the phone-application running in background. if you are done, bring up taskmanager agan and select the phone app.

the beginning of the 3rd line u made a grammar mistake,
not "does someone knows", "does" and "knows" cannot be put together

@raily,
Thanks for reply.
I found the same way you mentioned.
My question was it will be possible to implement shorter way to find Contact from the list. Or make an external app?

@nokian9000@yahoo.ca - you are absolutely correct. English is not my native language. But I think that more important was the question and not the grammar. Anyway.... ;-)

If you install shortcutd, you can program a button/proximity sensor to start contacts. Might be the app you are looking for.

Guys,

Thank you very much for your posts.
I used to use shortcutd, but never thought that I can use proximity sensor for Contacts.
I will try again.

Thanks!

It's only got a set amount of functions.

Can't seem to be able to do something like contacts with this app.
