Someone want to try this one theirs and see what happens.

I was looking at woot.com and wanted to make a bookmark so I do add bookmark and the dialog comes up but clicking OK doesn't make it go away, neither does cancel. The dialog is not hung as you can click on the ? and help comes up and the can click on the url field and change it. Just nothing makes ti go away.

The first time it happened I rebooted and there was a bookmark listed as null in the bookmark list. So for fun I reflashed to 51-06 (same as before) and started from scratch, same exact problem. I even reflashed again and didn't restore my backup. After reconnecting to the network, go to woot.com, make bookmark, hang. Both times I reflashed I installed NO apps and made no changes to anything except for setting up my wlan connection.

This is totally repeatable on mine, I have done it three times in a row. If someone else tries it and it works I am going to be very annoyed at my little N800. Mostly I have been very happy with none of the problems people have experienced.

Exactly the same thing happened to me when I was trying to bookmark for the Wall Street Journal. I have been able to bookmark other sites but not the WSJ (tried three times).

Been testing some more and I can make bookmarks for other sites I visit, just not woot.com .

Strange that it worked for you penguinbait. Are you in R&D mode or some other change that might effect something? Different kernel or something. Just grasping at straws. It makes no sense that the software would work differently.

I thought it might be that woot.com's title comes up with a colon in it but I bookmarked other punctuation and it works. Also removing the colon before clicking ok doesn't help.

Anyone know of another site that comes up with a colon in its title?

Mine worked fine, when booting off mmc, where I have a lot stuff installed. I booted to my flash, where I only have becomeroot, xterm, and ssh installed and it also had no problem there. I have not made any changes to browser setting or anything. In fact on flash I only installed those apps so I could boot from my mmc card where my OS was already installed, and I only booted it again to test woot just now, so its fairly pristine.

Note I also am using bootmenu, which alters initfs. which is used by both flash and mmc, but would not effect the browser in any way.

I once experienced exactly the same with ITOS 2006.39 on the 770. So it's definitely not a N800-only bug.

Well its not the colon. I made a page with a colon and it had no problem with it at all. I even copied Woot's title string and it had no problem.

Here is an interesting thing, though. I tried making a bookmark manually in bookmark manager. Took it without a problem but when you try to open the bookmark you get a dialog box saying Network problem and listing the perfectly correct url. If I manually type the exact same thing into the url field it will go there fine.

This is definately a bug in Opera. I just wonder why it worked for penguinbait.

I experienced the same bug attempting to add bookmarks for Guardian.co.uk and Macrumors.com.

Apart from rebooting, there doesn't seem to be a way to dismiss the frozen bookmark dialog.

Manually adding bookmarks (duplicating an existing one and editing details) worked, but...come on.
