IVA co-processor on N800

Hey!

Can you tell me if there is any chance that one day, the IVA co-processor is going to be used?
Is it "just" a matter of missing drivers or is the whole hardware block disabled?

According to this:

it is "not used"...

I tried in an other thread, but there was no response ...
