Hi, I would like to hide nokia movie at startup. I'd like to see system messages at startup like in most linux systems. May anybody tell me how to do it?

Flash it into R&D mode? That's what gave me the (fluorescent green!) messages on my 770.

I never looked at them, of course, but the geek factor of the thing was immediately increased by 15 hitpoints. :p

The internet tablet doesn't have a console, so there's really no output hidden by the Nokia logo. As Karel pointed out, you can get some kernel and hardware related info at the boot screen before the gauge appears with R&D mode enabled. But that's all.

Flash it into R&D mode? I suppose that's like starting X-Window with a root account. Too much dangerous... Am I right? Or is it a different case?

I've enabled the Application Manager to Red Pill mode. I think it's enough for my daily usage.

Nevertheless I'll sorrow about the fluorescent green messages of the system at startup :)

R&D mode was, in the early days, the only way to enable root access on the 770. That doesn't mean that an R&D-flashed 770 is always root. Just look it up...
