n800: screen lights concern

I have bought n800 from Amazon.com (Datavision). By the way, DataVision is bad. They sent me the package very late and the service was bad so I do not want to work with them anymore.

The problem with n800 is minor but annoying. The right side of the screen (about 1 inch area from the right frame) is slightly darker and has some shadow stripes there. Does anybody have this problem? Does anybody tried warranty of nokiausa? Does anybody has an idea what can be wrong?

I am a Linux programming engineer and do not think there is any software problems. It might be a not-working light from the right side. Any advise will be appreciated!

Funny thing: Since I took off Nokia's "screen protector" (for my failed experiment with PSP screen protectors), the shadowing has become a lot less pronounced.

Of course, my screen is now completely denuded for all perverted scratchlings to have a go at...
