xterm backspace issue

I have an n800 and installed xterm. Unfortunately, backspace does not work (on virtual keyboard), i get a square and some mess on screen. xterm also does not show long lines properly. Any advise?

I had the same issue uninstall and install the osso-xterm with color support has everything and color too :D works flawless (heres what the packages are)

ncurses-base 5.4-4
osso-xterm 0.13.mh19bora1
ttf-bitstream-vera 1.110-4mh1

What repository are you using/where are you getting the files? I wasn't aware that an updated xterm had been released yet for the N800, so was still using the semi-defective .13 one.

It hasnt for the N800 was for N770 but i havent seen any issues at all

Thank you! Xterm from maemo-hackers works excellent. It is really much better!
