I had 4 (2 tablets), managed to "misplace" 2 of them. gave one tablet to a friend. and now my final stylus has gone missing (i'm thinking the parrot made off with it, as he's fond of stick-like objects such as pens and straws). And, now looking at the 770 pages, I can buy batteries and cables.. but, no replacement stylii.

and before you offer suggestions on "better" ones, for which i'll thank you, unless they fix into the back of the case they're not going to help me much.

so... where does one go for more pieces of properly shaped plastic?

Nokia, I guess, but unfortunately their accesory support for Internet Tablets (both 770 and N800) is conspicuous byt it's absence. My advice would be to contact Nokia Support, and please report back what they say - replacement stylii for the N800 would be nice at some point too.

You would be better off contacting Belkin I would think. If Noki didn't have the presence of mind to order their production and offer replacements, it may make fiscal "cents" for a third party to produce them.

Depending on overall sales, Belkin is usually quicker to respond than the OEM...

If that didn't work for me... the next time I bought a big ticket item at a mega store, I would seal the deal with them agreeing that I should also have the styli from their N770 display.

BTW... I would also shoot the parrot for the dang inconvenience of it all. :p

;)

Like with all the Parrots of the World, mine started talking to someone somewhere, without telling me. Now it is as if it does not have any time for me. Thanks to Nokia and the Internet Tablets ( and the Internettablettalk Forums ) my parrot is more IT savvy then me. It even learnt to use Debian Linux on its own. It does not need to be told about VIOP ( Voice Integrated and Operated Parrot ), it makes calls on its own. I think it even uses Gaim to chat, using my login ID. Sweet ! ! ! Thanks Guys.

I think, ( I heard this via unconfirmed resources, while I held my cup under a leaky faucet ) it is even running for Presidential Elections soon.

 :p

Here are links to the 770 and N800 replacement Stylus pages from direct.nokia.com:

770: http://direct.nokia.com/Product.aspx?model=Stylus
N800: http://direct.nokia.com/Product.aspx?model=StylusN800

Basically it's impossible to order replacement stylus packs unless you have the direct links above - the stylus packs aren't listed as available in the "normal" online shop. Utterly ridiculous.

Good work Mil. I cannot understand what's going on with the accessories... unless it's related to what's going on with tablet production in general...

EDIT: oops, links don't work for me. The page asks for my country and then redirects to the wrong place.

(Sorry for the late reply!)

Yeah, there seems to be a problem with the USA, but the links do work for UK, France, Germany and Spain (I haven't tested any other countries). Once the browser knows your country you should end up in the right place, failing that once you've selected your country (and the browser cookie is created) you should follow the links a second time however for USA you always get the country selection page (I guess the URL is not valid in USA?)

In the UK (as of 17 Apr 2007) I still see the 770 and N800 3-in-1 stylus packs on offer, both priced at £9.39 inc VAT and delivery.

Milhouse, you made me curious, there must be other accessories at direct.nokia.com. Do you (or anyone else) know how we could see them?

No, sorry they're the only links I have for direct.nokia.com - the direct.nokia.com "store" is pretty appalling, it's practically impossible to navigate and find anything, and the links I posted above took a certain amount of guesswork.

Thanks for that link! I couldn't find it from the nokia germany homepage - or with google. I must be getting old.

When clicking on 'order', i get We're sorry, this page cannot be displayed. I'll give them a call.

(edit) Ebay to the rescue. Paid 23 euro for 3 stylii. :/ oh well.

Ebay totally rules... my mom's 10+ year old Nokia 5190 broke a few months ago and dispite me educating, advising, explaining, and begging her to try a new modern phone she refused so I went on eBay and got one for $10 and it works perfect and my mom is so pleased.

If you go back to the nokia online shop and order a N800 ... then you'll see the N800 and the stylii on your order form ... you simply have to take out the N800 to be able to buy the stylii ... Simple as Nokia ;)
