During testing I've noticed that some themes have the user/system category and others have the user/desktop category, from the user POV this is a bit messy, does anyone know if there's a official word on that ?
In your opinion what is the correct section for themes ?
Here, says user/system: http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/Maemo_5_Developer_Guide/Packaging%2C_Deploying_and_Distributing#Sections
I suspect a new category is out of scope here, so we should reach a decision here, among the theme makers.

yes, confuses me too. application manager needs to improve badly. give more functions such as sort applications by release date..

Yeah, we should have a separate Themes category in HAM.
Given the lack of specific Themes category, Desktop.

Yeah, we should have a separate Themes category in HAM.
That would be the perfect solution, but I suspect that is out of scope for Maemo5 :(

Why? Should be relatively easy to push with an update, no?

Just a guess, but we can propose that, at least.

Well, I guess if we cannot have a specific Themes category in HAM, the theme makers should at least have the common naming convention. If not, the themes are just everywhere and some names do not even sound like themes until you actually install it. (such as Hitech or Maemo-org)
I would rather prefer them all in System or Desktop as:
[Theme] Array by joppu
[Theme] D-THEME Black by D-Livil
[Theme] Picnic by Andrewfblack
[Theme] Buuf by Andrewfblack
etc...

Well, at least me and Andrew are appending the word "Theme" after the actual theme specific name. It's pretty easy, since it's just a one line change of Maemo-XB-Display-Name. Hitech doesn't count since it's in devel and therefore shouldn't be even installed by your avarage user.

I vote Desktop category, and the word Theme should be in the name, probably at the end.
