So I have to say that I am quite displeased with Silica, but it brings to mind functionality that I've wanted for some time.
I want to scan the current networks that I can see, attempt to associate to the open ones, and finally attempt to reach the general internet.
This is a trivial trivial thing to do using wireless extensions and a python script. Consider this therefore a request for features that should be added.
The first feature I can think of would be that working networks are added to the list of stored connections.
(P.S. this is a lowish priority for me, but it's a trivial coding exercise and quite useful, so I wanted to start the debate)
