I have had difficulty installing mplayer, many key files are missing and I was wondering what repositories to download to allow me to install it. My N810 is missing:
libasound2 (>1.0.18)
libdbus-1-3 (>=1.1.4)
libdbus-glib-1-2 (>=0.76)
libfontconfig1(>=2.6.0)
libfreetype6(>=2.3.9)
libgcc1(>=1:4.2.1)
libglib2.0-0(>=2.20.0)
libosso1(>=2.23)
libpng12-0(>=1.2.13-4)
libpulse0(>=0.9.15~test5)
I was also trying to install a TI Calculator emulator:
libatk1.0-0(>=1.24.0)
libdbus-1-3 (>=1.1.4)
libdbus-glib-1-2 (>=0.76)
libfontconfig1(>=2.6.0)
libfreetype6(>=2.3.9)
libglib2.0-0(>=2.20.0)
libgtk2.0-0(>=2:2.12.9-0osso1)
libhildonfm2(>=1:2.21+0m5)
libosso1(>=2.21)
libpng12-0(>=1.2.13-4)
libpulse0(>=0.9.15~test5)
Any help as to how I can get these packages would be incredibly helpful and greatly appreciated. I am a beginner with linux and maemo so the more detailed the better. Thanks so much.

Are you using the Application Manager on your tablet? It should take care of all that stuff. Maybe you can give us the steps you used to do the installation.

I have both of these apps successfully installed on my N810, so it beats me!

Are you sure you aren't trying to install the maemo5 (N900) version?
Are you sure you have enabled the maemo4/diablo repos?
What "apt-cache showpkg mplayer" says? Version should be 1.0rc1-maemo.29.n8x0

several of the repos have had issues in the last few days.. I'd open app manager and check for updates as best you can. You might have issues with checking for update since some of the repos have moved and apt-get doesn't follow "301 Permanently Moved". see http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=569647#post569647

hello,
i have also problems with upgrading several apps like ATI-I5, omweather, vnc-viewer, x-chat, ...
i fixed missing pgp keys but the program-manager still complained about missing actual libraries, like libglib2.
i tried to update with apt-get, it fetched the lists but when i try to do an apt-get upgrade, i see that 32 packages are hold back. if i try to install them manually i see lots of missing dependencies.
is there something wrong with the repositories? i used to be able to make upgrades without any errors.

lazart, you have way too many repositories enabled, and at least one of them is a freemantle repo, so no wonder you have trouble.
