acceleromator phone isnt working

hi all.

i've had my phone for about a week now. i've done the epoxy fix on the second day i had it then i updated it via the over the air thing...

heres the crazy part. i've yet to have the phone actually work by rotating the device. in other words if i turn the phone vertical the phone application is supposed to kick in right? well it doesnt! it never has.

so i went on and installed the EYEz widget and that works the eyes follow in every direction i turn the phone.

also, i dont have the bounce game nor can i find it on the app manager list?

please help!

p.s. i've done the battery removal trick for 5 minutes and still the phone does not rotate for the phone app. but the eyez widget does work!

First have you gone to the phone app and made sure turning control is on because it is set to off by default. Also the bounce game can be found in OVI store its not n the app manager since it was not created by the maemo community. Good luck.

You can also turn on portrait mode web browsing on the N900. To enable auto switching between landscape and portrait modes when the phone is turned press Ctrl + Shift + O on the N900’s slide out keyboard. The next time you tilt your N900 to portrait, the web browser will automatically switch as well. If you want to disable this feature press Ctrl + Shift + O again.
