I understand that you like to take pictures of your house, plants that you somehow managed to keep alive, people who for some reason consider you to be their friend, your alcohol bottles and whatever random boring stuff. However, this is a serious open-source community. Unless your post includes C(++) code or at least POSIX commands you shouldn't post anything. Find relevant thread at digitalphotography.com and paste your pics there.


To people posting stuff about Themes (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=46739), alternative boot videos (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=48383&highlight=video), your Sketch made paintings (http://sketch.org) or people actually using their Maemo device for something and wanting to share the results:

For f ucks sake just do not ! I can see that you are super-creative, and those people at local art school who turned down your application are going to kick their own gonads once they see your thread. It’s just that we are important people and don’t have time for your noise. Besides, your thread is going to crash the Internet, which is otherwise full of only relevant information.

Thanks to you twisted individuals; I’ve found the error in my ways. I used to let all these useless threads (see above) where people shared what they did with their Maemo devices to go without punishment. That’s because I’m the kind of person (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypocrite) that I am. Now I have mended my ways and written extensive list of sarcastic comments in Emacs 9.5. These will be added as tags to all useless threads. In addition I've found really cool animated facepalm GIF from usenet.alt.KnowBetterDumbWits, which has facepalm images from 27 different Scifi/Animation/Corny 70’s TV shows.

This was a warning to everyone wanting to share what they do their with N900/N8x0. My Greasemonkey script will scan all active threads and find the ones, which don’t include code, whining about lack of features in N900 or fanboi wars. I’m coming to your threads and I will be armed with dry humour, GIFs and moral superiority.

Future is known, history will be rewritten.

Well, if its good enough for politicians its good enough for me!

At the end of the day this is what I like about the Internet. Anybody can post the weirdest s*** and express themselves freely (while we still can). Usually nobody bats an eyelid and accepts it as normal - that's ok.
People may like what you do or you may get ridiculed and that's the risk you take and the price of free expression.

Personally I hope people here will continue to post photos, create theme mods and express themselves through art (or any medium).

If you are really insane maybe write some software (I made the unfortunate mistake of making it my living).
