I guess what you're talking about is a so called "Screencast". Check out the load applet, it includes buttons for screenshot as well as screencast.
The applet's screencasting ability isn't too useful, though, because it captures only one frame every few seconds and the resulting video file is completely out of sync (audio normal, video too fast). But it's a start :)
