Hey what's up everyone, before anyone points me to google, I've been googling for the last 3 days now. I need a video trimmer that doesn't trim then convert. Just a video trimmer that cuts parts of videos, leaving the quality, format, etc. the same.
I knew of one a long time ago, but forgot the name. I think it was a frontend for mencoder in windows, I think it started with a '"Z" or "Y". It's been driving me crazy, any help appreciated.
Thanks.

i know LiVES works wonderfully in linux. Last program I used in windows was awhile ago.but that was VirtualDub. There were some other ones I cant remember. tmpgenc
some video players have segment play and some let you save the sgment. not sure if vlc saves segments yet.

Yeah, I tried VirtualDub, but for some reason it doesn't work well with my N900 Mp4 vids, it chops it up. I'll try out tmpgenc.

Does anyone else know of any mp4 video trimmers that don't convert?
Thanks

You can try AviDemux (http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/). I have not used it but it gets good reviews...
Do tell if it works...

Hey thanks that worked out for me. Took the newer file size was .2MB smaller than the un-trimmed 10mb file, but that's good enough thanks!

My n900's Mp4 video was not supported. Thanks anyway

Well it turns out that my problem with these video trimmers is that it makes parts of my videos choppy. Even before I trim them, and I just play them in the integrated program's video player, it chops up moving parts of the video. Does anyone have any problems with this?
I'm using Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks
