Nokia N8x0 Camera Apps Kill Tablet

I have searched this forum for some decent camera apps or at least some hints to the camera app to get it to work. It sometimes works and the RED LED comes on, and then turns off when I close it. But most, if not all the time recently, the second it tries to do a preview picture it just locks the whole tablet up. The same with Knips.
I just want to test out the camera, I know it sucks but I want to see if it's useful for a terrible videochat I wanted to do (Still have to work that out, however).
Is there anything about the camera I'm not getting :confused:

See bug 2761 (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2761). Maybe it's best to avoid camera/knips and just go straight to the videochat (which should work fine).

the camera tool in the extras-devel version of mnotes worked for me when others didn't.

camera works for me. try reinstalling, and closing all other aps when using it.
