simple question: how does one change the font size (or "fontsize" to help find, since the forum's search is too ...)
since current maemo 5 is gtk based, it should be possible to use something like
gtk-chtheme
to set the font size for all apps using a local or system wide gtkrc.
fiddling with the theme-included gtkrc is _not_ an option!
but for reasons unbeknownst to man there's apparently neither gtk-chtheme nor any other means of easily changing the font size available.
seeing the state of ui customization made possible by nokia (to say "limited" is an euphemism -- and no, i am _not_ speaking of creating whole themes!), i doubt there will be much more of that with the mythical pr1.2, though there a) should still be sufficient number of gtk based programs around and b) qt supports a similar setting in a config file.
apparently the ui designers suffer from bad sight and need huge icons and fonts, i don't and i am annoyed by the waste of screen real estate due to huge icons and fonts ...
