Can anyone install any of the INdT games for Maemo on the N800?

I have tried from the http://downloads.maemo.org/games/ page
and also from the http://openbossa.indt.org.br/games/ page
and from application Manager

All say something like "Application package not found"

Games like MaemoDrac, IceBreaker, Crazyparking, Battlegweled

Easiest thing is to add the repository to the Application Catalog. The parameters are on the web page of the guy who created the games.

They work great!

I tried the following but it doesn't help me

Catalog name: INdT Games
Web address: http://openbossa.indt.org.br/games
Distribution: bora
Components: games

I couldn't follow the link in your post to see what parameters you have set ;)

Can't install. Might be because the bora packagelist doesn't seem to include any info...

http://openbossa.indt.org.br/games/dists/bora/games/binary-armel/Packages.gz
vs
http://openbossa.indt.org.br/games/dists/mistral/games/binary-armel/Packages.gz

games/pool does contain all the .deb files, but I have yet to dare install them on my N800 :)

I wonder if they are even supposed to appear under OS2007 in downloads.maemo.org, at the moment, at least.

Put this in your repository.

deb http://marceloeduardo.com/apt mistral games

Came up and installed fine from there.

works fine too.

This is from the maemo.org wiki - application catalog 2006.

Repository: [WWW] http://marceloeduardo.com/apt
Distribution: mistral
Component: games

Your way works too though. :-)

A lot of the application under the 2006 catalog work on 2007. Some more advanced things be careful of though - e.g. various boot utilities etc.

Also the maemo.org garage is getting much better - you can just click the install on most of the applications and they install.

added all listed repositories. Still can not install BATTLEGWELED. I was able to install the other games though like crazyparking, maemodrac, icebreaker.

Application packages missing: libsdl-net1.2

That would be a different problem... :-)

Oh, Joy!! More missing library files. I have just about given up trying to install ANYTHING for Linux/Nokia because there are almost always dependencies that are not supplied. Even a couple that were supposed to be complete, and have an install file fail because of some missing library. It would be nice if the developer would at least tell us where to find said missing dependency! I have been a user of Microsoft products for years, and several years ago switched to Mac OS X and have never looked back. I have a definite love/hate relationship with Linux and all of its permutations. And they all stem from the inability to easily install applications without searching everywhere to come up with bits and pieces of dependencies that are missing. If Linux is serious about making major inroads into the mainstream, they are going to have to start having more compassion on us Newbies! Sorry for the rant. ;)

Hi,

I can see all of the games in the application manager. When I click to install them, I am also missing some different files.

I can install them in my 770.

Had to install Python and all packages issues disappeared.
