NOW AVAILABLE @ EXTRAS :)

Got bored so made this. It's not "completely" android look a like since there's some limitations with Maemo OS (ie. must use dark background overall).

Forgot to say that feel free to suggest something if you feel like something is not in it's place. I've never seen android-device in real life, just googled what the os mainly looks like.

With the PR 1.2 "bootleg" release the icons for the "backspace" and "shift" functions on the on screen keyboard do not show up with your previous themes. Has this been solved with this one or should we wait until the "official" PR 1.2 release?

Excellent work in the past BTW. :)

On-screen keyboard looks just fine with my "bootleg" PR1.2. I can try to take a screenshot later.

Version 1.1 is now uploaded to extras-devel with app icon backgrounds removed from homescreen, should be available soon to update.

Why yes it does... thank you very much. :)

Most excellent :)

I'm diggin' the 'ell out of this dude!

http://files.myopera.com/yodude/blog/statusbarss.png

I like how you rounded the WebShortcutAppletBackground label corners. I have got to figure out how that's masked so I can remove the frame but keep your rounded cornered labels.

http://files.myopera.com/yodude/blog/yo.png

BTW, the onscreen keyboard of all the other Themes that I have installed since the bootleg looked liked like the shot below. Nothing under the "?" or the "A". Backspace and Shift still worked just no image. OEM themes were fine though.

http://files.myopera.com/yodude/blog/prev%20keymap.png

(They all render fine. That mirror blur/split seen on the bottom of that^ shot must have been due to a processor fart when I took the image.)

If its a case of a background change just include them as separate backgrounds.

It's loopable. That's the one in my opinion also and maybe I should use that one also as lock screen background?

Also it would be great if you can make icons and background look like this:

Maybe you can make top bar and notifications like this:

and lockscreen, imagine this with a slider to unlock:

I think I won't have time or inspiration of making icons for apps, but the background is doable for separate download. Which device is that where the screenshot is taken?

Icon backgrounds are there (like in screenshot @ opening post).
If you want to get rid of icon backgrounds just type this in terminal (must have rootsh installed)

sudo gainroot
rm /usr/share/themes/ANdroidtheme-themedir/images/ApplicationShortcutApplet.png
rm /usr/share/themes/ANdroidtheme-themedir/images/ApplicationShortcutAppletPressed.png

And then do a reboot.

Yep, another Maemo OS bug. Go into homescreen "editing" mode (click on screen and then tap on the gear icon) and select another background to use. Then close editing mode and open it up again and go selecting the background again and this time select an-DROID theme.

Edit: aah, you already got it sorted out. But I'll let this post be visible if someone else has issues after upgrading the theme and new background not to show up.

Well.. the virtual keyboard on PR1.1 looks kind of ugly, but it's a lot nicer with PR1.2 :)

Orange seemed to be the color of button highlights on this picture I found before starting up this theme:

Orange is nice, it's summer and everything 8-)

I absolutely love the way that contact widgets look with the separation in name and avatar. Very nice.

Is it possible for you to remove the GRAY elements and leave them BLACK?

Conversations doesn't look right with a gray border and a black inset and neither do any of the windows that get painted with the gray.

Are the colors stored in the obvious colors.config file or somewhere more dubious?

Thanks,

d-iivil

I suppose you haven't rebooted after selecting the theme? Conversations should NOT be colored as you described, they should be like in my attachment.

I don't want to remove the dark gray backgrounds because it looks like all lists in basic Android -device are actually gray:

So I'm just wondering if you suffer from insomnia, find the white nights too much or have so many ideas for themes and graphics that you wake up to rush to your pc in a creative frenzy? This said I really think you deserve a Cyber Monument for all the work that you do free of charge, to make our N900 beautiful to look at. Not only this, you also accept requests and feedback, and then help anyone on these threads! I for one give you a big 'THANK YOU' you are truly unique.

Really like this theme, but it breaks my virtual keyboard (see screenshot). A reflash is the only way I have so far found to put it right. I am on PR1.2 and enhanced power kernel (although problem also occurs with stock kernel). Have tried changing to default themes, rebooting and un-installing the theme these actions have no effect.

Any ideas?

This will not stop me using the theme as I hardly use the virtual keyboard but it would be nice to get it fixed... anyway keep up the good work and thanks.

I don't even know what that is! So I guess not.

I haven't experimented with any other themes, guess I could reflash then try it with another. The reflashing is easy enough but the re-installing 70 apps is a pain.

Oh I remember, the 9 desktop thing.

I don't have that installed at the moment.

It shouldn't be problematic. I have the theme and Matan's modified hildon-desktop installed.

This Theme surely is AWESOME. But the Nokia's Hands BootScreen.... NOT. It Kinda spoiled the rich look of the theme... LoL. So I ended up pulling off a video from YouTube and adding editing it a bit (Music and Text) which now makes my N900 look like the real deal... :PJust download the bootscreen and check for yourselves. Im Sure you guys would like it.

You can Use the App called "BootScreen" In the Extras Repository using Application Manager.

Alternately, There are a couple of threads for this task

Yes. This application has the speciality that if you are notinterested in having any bootvideo, then you can keep boot video blank. At anytime you can return back to the default Nokia Hands video. So No Worries

Have you Restarted your phone? Turn it off. Wait for a while, turn on and check.

If it still hasnt changed, then go to themes and select the default nokia theme. After the default is loaded, again select the an-Droid Theme and restart your phone. It should work out.

I think he thought you were talking about normal desktop backgrounds.

Lockscreen is part of the theme and it's not easily changeable by user (just like the background of mediaplayer, clock app, application manager etc). This is same with any other theme (including the built in ones).

If you however want to change the lockscreen image, you can find instructions using this forum's search (search for "change lockscreen image") or google.

cheers just can't understand why an-Droid theme changed it and no other theme can change it back, even default nokia (as suggested earlier) will do it if you press the power on button straight after you lock it, but if ya leave it for ten mins and press power on button again it shows the blurred an-Droid background again?

So you're having problems on getting back the default lockscreen? Just change your theme back to nseries and reboot.

Okay...doesn't sound any familiar bug to me. Maybe you should try to uninstall the an-DROID and see what happens after setting some other theme.

Can you try some other scheme set @ Plastic Theme Setup, that should overwrite the "bad" lockscreen for sure.

i had the same problem and it really started to annoy me but i think i have found a solution, have you got maenotify installed? if so i went to home/user/.maenotify and found that there is a lockslider.png in there i replaced that with the 1 i want to use then replaced the lockslider.png in all my thems restarted & all seems ok now..... let me know how it goes

Then I would recommend reflashing. I'm pretty sure that maenotify was the root cause for this since it does some caching of lockscreen images.

Reflash is pretty easy task and you when using built in backup -program you can restore your settings and applications easily afterwards.
