Hi,
In PR1.2 there is a possibility to theme IM conversation view.
See example package at:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/shaded-chat-theme/
I'm not a graphics/css guy, so I hope to see better ones soon.
Would be nice if there was a matching chat theme for the nice desktop themes out there. Using Matrix theme now, so the colors don't really match my chat theme.

Same here I'm afraid. If I open conversations - settings - there is only the option of "Receive SMS delivery reports" and selecting the "SMS centre number". Apologies if I am missing something obvious.

Menu only shows up once you install a conversations theme.
Also, this theme only changes IM. Not SMS conversations.
This is great that we can so easily change the conversation themes. Hope we see more varities soon. =)

Yeah, same here. Do we have to install a "conversations theme" to be able to see the menu entry?

@Patola: Yes, the menu doesn't appear if there is only one (default) to select.
@MaltedVomit: There is no built-in support for SMS conversation theming. Not sure why. Maybe they wanted to make it harder for a casual user to install a buggy theme that would break their SMS view. SMS being considered more critical than IM.
Without the built-in support, the theming, or rather, changing the theme, isn't as easy. But the default css/html files can still be edited. I've added a background image for SMS on my own phone, only a one-liner in both css and html.
But if you start editing those files, make sure you keep original handy, in case something goes wrong, or you want to revert to default.

Hmm anyone have a minimal theme available? No avatars but the rest more or less as normal?
Hello, i would like to restore my IM chat to it's original state. When I uninstall Shaded chat theme it look like it's still installed. :(
I thought it looked like the same as in sms chat before I installed this.
I really dont want to make a reflash just because of this.
Thanks :)

Sorry for late reply. Summer vacation.
You can get the default theme back by selecting 'default' from Conversations app's settings. Same place where you enabled the 'shaded'.
That changes opened conversations also.
If you have shaded theme selected, and uninstall the shaded package, the opened conversations don't update. But if you close them, they open with default theme the next time (or maybe the next after that :P).
(Though the messaging seems to keep the IM theme selection as 'shaded' still, if the theme isn't there, default is used. You can't see the selection if shaded was your only theme, though. But you notice this if you re-install shaded. It's selected in the settings again. And the second IM conversation you open after that will have the theme active.)
Default IM theme doesn't look the same as the SMS view. It doesn't have bubbles.

hello :)
I reflashed it instead after i found the phone a bit buggy (it has prolly nothing to do with this app lolol) Thank you for your response though, I had a hunch that it would be something like this.
have a great day :)
