SIM-IM usable?

I was wondering if it is possible to use SIM-IM on the n800? My guess is that it might work but the gui won't work with the Hildon framework?

There is a version for KDE and also two files (sim-qt and sim-data) that I would try to install but don't want to break my tablet :)

I was thinking that SIM-IM would be great to use rather than Gaim. But I have no idea if it will work as-is or what needs to be done to "Hildonize" an application.
