Tell you something interesting as well. Its more of a glitch. When using media player to play a movie - when you switch to another task it pauses the player. If however you get an email alert and click the little notification to switch into email - the movie keeps playing in the little task bar icon - its damn cool and I wish it was the norm.

lcuk did some experimentation on this a few months ago. I believe his goal was to spread a single application across both the internal display and the video out by having it use both RGB and YUV. I don't know what success he had.

Yes, I noticed the other day that when using the Nokia media player with TV-out, if you press the screen to bring up the buttons for pause etc., they only appear on the device screen, not the TV screen. I guess there are two frame buffers, then, which seems surprising.

SIB not working for me under PR1.2. It needs dependency and heard it's not compatible with PR1.2 or something...

I would recommend to use this
http://maemo.org/packages/view/kmplayer/
And select mplayer as player. Dunno if tvout thing works as described here.

sib is working perfectly fine for me. no complaints or problems' however i have only tried it with v ideos the n900 shot itself. i dont have any other kind of downloaded v ideos ubt i will get some and try them too. this is stilla upgrade because for the last 3 months prior to the sib download i wasnt able to play any videos that the n900 recorded and now i can so i am a happy camper
