Hi Everyone,

I've had my n800 for about 3 months, and have to say I'm thrilled with it. It's a fantastic device.

I follow these forums closely, both to stay up-to-date, and I think it's quite the treasuretrove of information. Even if some of don't have the problems other's have, it's great to be in the know, and beneficial.

The other day, I was copying music to my SD card (I haven't gotten the 4GB, or 2GB yet, and am looking forward to the extra space once I do), when I thought of something.

I thought of checking which applications on my Vista Ultimate machine would recognize my n800. Sure enough, Windows Media Player did!

Now, I love Linux, and have Ubuntu Edgy Eft installed, and that's my main computer, so I don't want anyone to get me wrong. But I was curious.

What does this mean? I can use WMP to synch music to the N800. This gives the N800 the same functionality as a full-blown mp3 player, and with the sound on the N800 being so good.. why not?

Now.. if Amarok can do the same thing? we're in business. :)

Hi,

I think cos Windows recognises the N800 as a card reader and hence gives access to the SD cards as such. Doesn't Windows XP's Media player already do this? I'm not sure myself cos I don't use it for my mp3s.

Hi everyone,

Perhaps in my post, what I should have indicated is that it synchronized successfully. I was very impressed with this functionality and what it means. There are so many articles that say it's not "finished," etc. Perhaps what we should start is listing existing applications which work with the N800. I think this could be alot of help to everyone.
