just de-install the kernel back to the standard one. Instruction is easy. Remove Tuxpaint, and Luxu if you have them installed. Connect to the net, and click on de-installation icon.

Obviously the USB didn't break off because of overclocking, so you should be covered as long as you do your best to cover your tracks.

Charge your battery to full -> using other battery or other phone. Battery from Nokia Nuron is compatible with Nokia N900.
Then you can put back your original kernel. (Hmm...do you need USB for this ???) otherwise forget my post :P

Got the same problem, almost. The usb-port is so loose that it can't get any type of connection anymore. Neither with a charger nor datacable. So I reverted to stock kernel (with these instructions (http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power#Deinstallation)) and sent it to repair via the seller. Hopefully they don't send me a bill of gazillion euros for the new part... :)
You can also buy a standalone charger (e.g. on eBay) to charge the battery if you need to get personal data off it before sending it in for repair. Also, you can use a N810 if you have one to charge the N900 battery (Charging a BL-5J (N900) battery in the N810 (http://thpmaemo.blogspot.com/2009/12/charging-bl-5j-n900-battery-in-n810.html)).

My ex girlfriend's son just yanked my phone off the table about 2 weeks ago (6/25). The female part broke off on the inside.
Filed a repair claim the same day. Told them it broke while trying to remove the charger from the phone. Mailed it to them on the 29th.
Got an email saying a replacement was on its way on 7/2. It should be here by 7/9 because of the holiday weekend.
Point is, if you can get yourself a beater phone like I did in the interim then you should be able to hold out.

I didn't want to mail it back so I was trying to see if there was some place I could walk into in new york city. Couldn't get a clear answer.
http://www.nokiausa.com/get-support-and-software/repair-and-recycle/repair/repair-locator
Go there ^
Put the information in the 2 fields.
Click on the repair form link at the bottom on the NEXT page
Fill out all the fields with asterisks and check all the check boxes with symptoms related to your problem.
And finally at the bottom theres an explanation field. What follows is the explanation I gave them.
"The female portion of the usb charging port became loose on removal of the charger. On replacement and removal again the phone didn't indicate that it was charging and the port is now completely loose"
Update: Got the phone back, its either well refurbished or spanking new. They even gave me a $10 ovi store debit card.
