Changing Background Image

How do I change the background image? I downloaded some themes and backgrounds from

http://solid.gold.code.googlepages.com/themes.and.backgrounds

but when I went to update the theme, my original blue background remained. Has anyone ever successfully changed a background? How do you do it?

from the Home page, select the Home menu (top left)
then Tools
then Set background image...

(you would think it should be possible from the Control Panel also!)

Thanks! I would have never thought to look there. It should be in the control panel section !
