Double press power key to unlock

I find the unlock key very awkward in its position and impossible use one handed. I'm sure this has been suggested before, but it would be a very useful addition, as at present I double press the power key to lock....

I use all the different methods to lock and unlock my N900 depending on how I'm holding the device. Have you tried pressing the power key and swiping the screen? That's what I do one handed although I would like to be able to double press thepower key.
