mplayer recording stream problem

i am trying to get mplayer to record a audio stream using the code

mplayer- dumpstream http:://............. .pls -dumpfile /media/mmc2/music.mp3/

this code is inserted in x-terminal but i get error message

it finds the stream ok but then says -cannot find dumpfile and exits

any help appreciatedl

Try streamripper instead:
mkdir /home/user/MyDocs/music
streamripper http://64.71.184.99:8010/ -d /home/user/MyDocs/music

There are many options for streamripper including saving into a single file.
