Yeah, but keygens aren't created for buggy software. I think we can all agree on that, right? :)
AFAIK there is nothing that would suggest that they don't support their customer in every way they can. They're probably just a bit overloaded right now.
There is a lot that would suggest that they don't support their customer in every way they can.
They did not want to help me regarding retail box product (non online). I've paid for product once, and after asking them for help, they advised me to buy online version.
That is lack of support for that customers.

Anyone have both US and EU maps? Sygic sent me two links to download the EU version, but no link for the US version. Emailed support and they only provided yet another link to download the EU version.:(
I had bought all 3 available map packs from them. Last week I received multiple emails for the Canadian pack only. Emailed them Friday and got a single email this morning listing the urls for all 3 map packs, Europe/USA and Canada :)
It should come.

Anyone had the problem of the voice telling you to turn right (or left) exactly 0.6 of a mile before the turn and then every so often until you get to the turn? If this is a setting that can be adjusted then please let me know as it is very distracting to listen to this when you may have 4 or 5 possible right turns, before you get to yours. At the moment the software is very confusing and am having to rely upon looking at the map and not listening to the voice.
Anyone have similar issues?

Installed according to instructions from the e-mail from Sygic. Works well. Looks better. Kinetic scrolling FTW. Nice extra voices. No visible lag (not overclocked). So it IS possible - I am pleasantly surprised.

But... WE MUST PAY AGAIN FOR TRAFFIC INFO?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Months waiting for v10 WITH traffic info, and now, you want more money?
Dave999

personally I don't care so much for traffic info and I think the amount will be very small. I hope sygic can presnent bug fixes and improvment of smm 10 at the same time this feature is enabled.

Favorites are saved in the file:
/opt/sygic/Maps/dnk/favorites.upi
To back it up:
root
cp -p /opt/sygic/Maps/dnk/favorites.upi /home/
-- Update to SMM10 --
To restore it:
root
cp -p /home/favorites.upi /opt/sygic/Maps/dnk/
I don't have SMM10 yet so I can't try it out (don't know if the favorites.upi file has been moved in SMM10), but after installing SMM10 and BEFORE restoring the file You could always look for the favorites.upi file first:
root
find /opt -name favorites.upi

thanks so much for the replay man..... how certan are you that this is the favorites file though.... without assuming the obvious of course?
Let me try it out on my device... ;)
What I'll do is:
1) Move the favorites file.
2) Start SMM9.
3) See if the favorites are gone.
4) Move it back.
5) Repeat 2+3.
6) Get back to You... :)
EDIT -> Just tried it out and it worked as expected. When removing the file my favorites were gone. When putting it back in place they re-appeared... ;) Unless Sygic has decided to save favorites in a new way on SMM10 it should work (tm)... :)
Oh... There's a Thanks! button... Feel free to use it (too)... ;)

Back to favorites, I found them in /home/user/MyDocs/Maps/ita and che because I have favorite places both in Italy and Switzerland.
Sol if you want to backup them (and I advice to do that, because after installing smm10 I had to reconstruct them all) you better issue a
find /home/user -name favorites.upi
and save the found files elsewhere.

Hi,
can you please provide an example where exactly is this happening? In order to investigate the issue, we need to simulate the situation at its exact location and direction.
Thanks a lot.
Sygic Support.
Does the new version have Cyprus maps?
I see someone else asking as well but I don't see any answers.
Anyone having these issues described above?
I would say that I think this is the way it should be. So you have a chance to get ready to make your turn. If the GPS-navigator just tells you when it is time to turn, you will probably miss a lot of turns, don't you think??

The list doesn't appear at all on sygic.
Some time ago I noticed that almost 5-10 contacts in my addressbook had a second address field with only the city compiled in; I can't delete or modify this second address: this is the reason because I think it is a "malformed entry" or a database error. I think this is the reason because even mycontacts had many crashes when I first tryed it.
Could it be that Skype is the cause of your double addressfields which you can't remove. It's the reason in my case. . .

I also had this problem.. Remove the Res and Drive folder from MyDocs, and rename the maps-folder. Then you'll be able to install it again. Ofc you must rename the maps folder to it original state again after the installation.

You've tried what I said in my previous post? Remove/rename those folders worked for me.. If it doesn't work, try "dpkg -i mobilemaps.deb" as root in terminal and see what error message it shows.

This whole OVI store vs, website version is a clusterfsk.
If om update first comes for one and not the other, rather than wait for it, one group will attempt to use the other procedure and any help that members of this forum could provide would be at best useless and at worse, speculative.
I bought mine through their website. What confronts me is that for every other platform (iPhone, Android, Symbian) the North American version includes maps for the US, Mexico, and Canada for about $35 EUR. While the Maemo version cost $40 Euro it only includes maps for the US. Canada maps cost an additional $30 EUR and Mexico isn't even available. :(
What is up with that?
Now that I have to travel in Canada, Not only would I have to end up paying twice as much for less product than any other platform receives, the upgrade path is not very clear.
Will a Canada version purchased through OVI be compatible with my US version purchased on-line from Sygic's web site (http://www.sygic.com/index.php/en/how-to-buy.html)?
... and while I'm asking questions:
What happened to that Sygic support dude who was answering these questions as a member of this forum?

Thank you very much; this worked perfectly. I had this problem and was trying to figure out which file folders were causing the installation failure. No surprise it was Drive and Res. I tried renaming Maps on my own, but that in itself didn't work.
Again, thanks a lot.

Yes, not just to customers but to us at Sygic internally as well. In recent update we tried to merge app versions to be the same as distributed via Ovi Store and via our eshop but there were some limitations... which were not easy to overcome.

We are sorry for treating customers using different phones in a different way pricing-wise. Hint - our Maemo app has Navteq maps, the other products use Tele Atlas / TomTom maps.

Yes, you have to add sygic repo:
How to install the update for Mobile Maps 10 for Maemo:
Open App manager
Go to Application catalogues
Click New
Enter following info:
Catalogue Name: Sygic Mobile Maps
Web Address: http://repository.sygic.com/maemo/
Distribution:
Components: non-free
Note: Depending on your firmware, message “Failed to refresh” may appear.
In that case enter Distribution: fremantle
Leave the check box “Disabled” unchecked.
