Can anyone use their product id to get access to the software updates?
I'm trying to gauge who can access the updates at this point in time. Please also let me know what country you are in and where you purchased your 770. Thanks.

I can access the update page without problem. I'm from Holland. Purchased the device online from Nokia.

From US. Purchased from CompUSA. Serial number on box works with Nokia and Maemo site. Posted from 770 ; )

I am able to log in and access the site. I purchased my Nokia 770 at CompUSA in San Francisco, CA, USA.

I got one in syracuse ny, they reicieved four. I picked one up, there are suposed to be 2 left with one as the display unit. l got the 2 yr tap plan four 100 or so ... total 530.00 :-(
also got the e-mail giving notice that my order would be canceled ...
the guy's who where in the store had no clue about the 770. one tried to put a sim chip in the disply model.
but i wrote this from my new 770!!!

It worked fro me. Germany. To download, make sure that you enter the correct ID number, of your device if this was the issue. How? It's described in the help there (the code is on a sticker number under the battery).

OK, great. I'm glad that's working for everyone. Since ours are still the prototype builds the site does not accept our PID's.
