A happy Hi,
I am Harry, absolutely new here and new to Nokia n800. I have now tried to get the new software downloaded to the Nokia but whatever I tried: it does not work. I get to the point were the wizard is searching for the Nokia but for whatever reasons: it does not find it!
The USB sign on the Nokia is showing...
any ideas would be helpful
with smiles

are you using one of the flashing utilities that will install the newest OS for the device?
you must charge the device completely, then unplug it.
start the flashing software on the PC, and connect the mini usb cable to the nokia n800.
while holding the home button (looks like a house), press the power button.
a usb symbol will appear on the screen (might be in the upper right-hand corner) and the flashing app will begin its work.

read this page completely. you need .Net, and SP2 as well as an app they provide. you will have to give them the WLAN ID (also called the MAC Address for the wireless card). it is on the box or under the battery of the device.
good luck...
