Looks nice, but is it actually functional everyday UI... not too sure about that.

Too much eye candy. It's fun at first, but get boring after. And I suspect that those 2D/3D effects will negatively impact on the battery life.

That's freakin hilarious!!! :D
that's a big screen he's working with.
as for the UI, it feels laggy.

Thats really useless and annoying. No one needs that.

TAT and Wind River saw form over function, and decided there was more room for empty calories.
Edit: Kinda strange since Wind River is wholly owned by Intel (Bless Wikipedia for making me seem like guy who knowns his stuff). Does Intel really need it's subsidairies pushing stuff that's inferior to what Intel proper is producing?

Sure, but would you like interact on daily basis with UI like that with your primary communication device?

I may prefer the UI from Windows 7 :)

it looks like to me they have just replaced panel mode of intels tablet UX with these eye candy widget view, b/c simple mode is still there.
I hope they're machine washable...

They are, and you just have to use widget with 3 second long transition effects to activate 40˚C wash program.

Very Flashy :) I would not want that on my device. Besides it most likely requires some impressive muscles behind the scenes to move arond those "Curtains"
