stupid question on "home" key on n800

which key is called the home key referred in the software update? The manual doesn't state which key is the official "home" key, I can see scroll/escape/menu/swap key. Since the menu key will activate the "home" menu in the main menu, I guess it is, but I cannot make the upgrading software find the device. :(
