heres my problem:

my screen is blank and displays nothing when shut or open (keyboard). however half open it works.....sort of. as you push up the screen it appears at its dimmest level ie no back light then as i open it wider it gets brighter progressively until a point where it gets dimmer then off again when fully open.

Another way i can make the screen work is by pushing down on the top right hand side (in landscape mode) of it.

the touch screen works fine and continues to work when i cant see anything.

has anyone else experienced this and is there a known fix as last time i sent this phone off for replacement/repair (faulty usb port) it took 2 months to bloody come back!

any help????????

I've seen this problem posted on this forum somewhere before, but I can't remember where. It will probably turn up if you power search.

Take off the four phillips screws that hold the screen to the base, lift up the screen, press down a bit on the screen cable. If the cable has become unseated, this should reinsert it properly.
