Sticker on Box "V2"

I just got my 770 from Nokia.... (Usa)

Opening the box, I noticed that the stickers closing the box- there are two of them, the top one has 'V2' on it- anyone else receving theirs have this sticker?

Did nokia update the firmware before they started shipping these Nov17th orders?

Mine, which must have been one of the first non-developer devices received in the UK, also has a small "V.2" on the Nokia sticker sealing the box.

It shipped with the 42-9 firmware.

I ordered my 770 (from Spain) on the 4th November and received it on the 8th and the stickers on my box also have a "V 2"

Yes, a lot, if not all, who got their 770 from CompUSA had the v2 sticker. There is actually another minor update after that. Check out:

The v2 sticker doesn't appear to have any connection with the firmware on the device inside the box - it seems that everyone has a v2 sticker, no matter what firmware they have.

Yes, v2 is for the Software version. The current version is 2.2005.45-8.

Aha I stand corrected, for some reason I thought people were enquiring about v2 as if it had something to do with the minor firmware version (ie. -7, -8), completely forgetting about the major firmware version! :)
