i have some problems with maemo update, programs update and some internet programs such like email and om-weather.......etc
they don`t work on my adsl router, but internet works and i can browse the internet and all websites. taking in considerations that all that work probably on any other router. so i just wanna know what is the problem.

It shouldn't matter what router you have. As long as you have internet access it should work.

In the terminal (as root): apt-get update

or use the package manager to refresh your package list

i don`t know what is the problem, indeed i have internet access but this problem excess only on my home internet.
i`ve tried to get update from application manager and refresh package list but no response. in some appl. it gives me couldn`t resolve host or resolving host timed out.

Well i'm no expert, but if it's only on your router then it's possible that it's a firewall issue.

Go onto your router config page (mine is 192.168.2.1, but yours is probably different) and omit your N900 from all firewall rules.

How you do this is completely dependant on which router you have

i log into the router configuration. page and found that firewall is disabled, so what could be the problem, as i`ve been tired from it.

i don`t think that this is my problem as i can update if i log from any of my friends` routers, but the problem is in the connection between my router and my n900, but the weird thing that i can browse internet, but i can`t log onto mail or weather or even update any program, and specially i`ve problem with resolving host of downloads.maemo.nokia.com and other servers
