Lately, I have been playing with Internet radio stations. I ran into Pandora (http://www.pandora.com), which streams music to your tastes. I was wondering how to stream Pandora to my N800 and my Roku SoundBridge. (Pandora seems to require Flash version 8 or higher; I couldn't get it to work on my N800.)

I ran into these instructions (http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=5283&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=pandora&start=15) on a Roku forum. They combine two free programs -- IceCast and OddCast -- on my PC to create an audio stream from my PC's sound card. The result is an "Internet" radio stream that my N800 (and Roku SoundBridge) can play. The N800 can play the stream through the Media Player.

So, this is a solution for those streams that your PC can play but your N800 cannot. Happy listening!

P.S. There's a Mac OS solution in the instructions, but it's not free.

P.P.S. The instructions are from "FoxKat" about half-way down the page.

Pandora does work on the N800, I use it all the time. See http://mconnick.wordpress.com/2007/06/07/pandora-and-the-n800/

Thanks, Michael. You are right: Pandora does come up, does allow sign in, and starts to play music.

I was not clear in my post. I have two complaints. First, it loads dog-slow, at least for me, and requires multiple "clicks" to get links or buttons to activate. Second, the music breaks up every 15 seconds or so.

On the other hand, the audio stream through the media player never breaks up.

Perhaps I missed, but the instructions only detail how to stream sound. What about video?
