How do I get GAIM (or some other MSN chat tool) on my 770?

Anybody care to type out the most detailed instructions possible to get GAIM, or some other chat program that would allow me to get on MSN, onto my 770? I've managed to install a few simple things that required just 1 or 2 clicks, but I ca't figure out anything more complex. I'm sure I won't be the only one benefitting from such instructions :)
