View Full Version : N800 USB transfer speeds?

Hi!
I'm considering buying a N800 after reading alot of positive things about it.
There's one thing that remains unclear to me though (even after searching), and that's the speed of the USB port.
I get that it's specified as 2.0, but still I wonder if that means the full speed of the memory card can be used. I ask because Nokia said that some of the newer S603rd Edition devices also had USB2.0, but they only reach about 1 MB/sec when transferring files to a computer.
I'd be thankful if someone could shed some light on this for me!

FWIW, I find the transfer speed through USB (the 2.0 port on my pc) slower than if I just take the card out and stick it in my reader. So much slower in fact, that it beats the hassle of having to take out the card and put it back in. But OPMMV, of course.

thanks for the heads up, i was dreading it was going to be slow. still gonna get one though :p
PS: i should have read your whole post first, because i actually did a google search on those "geek abbreviations" ;)
