keyboard settings

When I open the keyboard, I can enter one or two letters. Then the keyboard disappears for no reason. Anyone know why this is? Not sure if its something I just installed or not.

not sure if it's related, but the file manager has started crashing as soon as its opened.

just had the same problem with kb while inputting commands for os2006 copy to flash. I managed to get rid of it by disabling word autocomplete

I have the same problem after I de-installed the new browser to use Opera again. Now Opera does it when in full screen mode. Weird.
Diabling auto complete does not help.
