I have typed in the following (during the steps of partitioning):

I open a Xterm and type again as root:

# mke2fs /dev/mmcblk0p2
# shutdown -r now

Then, it says:

/bin/sh: mke2fs: not found

Have you installed e2fsprogs?

Dunno then, it should be there. Double check you have e2fsprogs installed, and that the mke2fs binary is available in /sbin.

What does that mean?

I just got my 770 and was trying to do the same thing as you did and got the same error message.

I believe mke2fs did not get installed correctly or was not installed at all when I ran "apt-get install e2fsprogs" the first time.

Anyway, I connected to the internet, and refreshed the catalog list, package whatever. And ran "apt-get install e2fsprogs" again. This time around I could tell it took longer for the e2fsprogs to install. Ran mk32fs again and it worked.

Great, I will try that this evening and hopefully it will work. So, basically, just install "e2fsprogs" again - the same way as before and then run the "mke2fs" again and that should work? Then I can continue with the partitioning process? Do you find that the iTab runs faster? Does the web run faster?

(On a side note, is there something that can be loaded to make it possible to utilize all of the locked WiFi connections I find?)
