Just received my 770 (apparently refurd from Europe as the homepage was left to Nokia Europe) but it's cool anyway - at least I got it :)

Now i'd like to upgrade the firmware but unfortunately I don;t understand how to do that.
I did download the flasher from Maemo and the latest firmware (48?) but it shows has unknown extensions in Windows...

Can anyone guide me to a how-to?

You need to download the windows flasher wizard frm Nokia Europe (first download).

I tried to reflash my 770. With Debian all went fine, but now with Ubuntu I get only "Permission denied" error.

root@xxx:/home/xxx/770# ./flasher-2.0 -F SU-18_2006SE_1.2006.26-8_PR_F5_MR0_ARM.bin -f
bash: ./flasher-2.0: Permission denied
root@xxx:/home/xxx/770#

I'm root, so I should have enough permissions.. Help me, please. :(

is your flasher executable?

chmod +x flasher-2.0
